Rinse the cucumbers under running cold water. Put 2-3 bay leaves on the bottom of the jar, place the cucumbers, put the onion and carrot slices, add the mustard and peppercorns, put the dill leaves on top.
Put 2 l of water, 1 l of vinegar, salt and sugar in a pot and put it on the fire. After it boils, it stops. The jars are placed on something metallic so as not to crack from the hot liquid. Pour the liquid into jars, squeeze well with a lid and in a pot of water until the neck of the jars is sterilized. After it starts to boil, leave it for another 10-15 minutes. Cover with a towel and leave until the next day, store in the cellar or pantry in a dark place.
