2014 was the year of hummus for me. Then I discovered this Lebanese dish, I tasted it in several places (by far, the best is at the Four Seasons restaurant on Dorobanti), I made it at home and it made me hungry a few times. It is extremely quick to prepare, especially if you have a robot or chopper, as I recently got from Tefal. It's like a smaller robot, equipped with blades to grind everything I need and prepare this recipe in minutes. I recommend you take one too. It also has a blender and tel, both manual and easy to use.
Today's recipe is the classic hummus recipe, and if you haven't tasted it before, it's best to start with it. I can't wait to make green or red hummus with different spices and surprising ingredients. It can also be prepared for parties because everyone likes hummus and you will surely be successful!
1 can of chickpeas & # 8211 400 gr.
40 ml. lemon juice, almost a whole lemon
40 ml. tahini
1-2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (I put some lightly fried seeds)
2-3 tablespoons of canned chickpea juice
paprika, coriander leaves, chickpeas and olive oil for decoration
Preparation time: Ten minutes
In order to make a humus as fine as possible, the ingredients must be added one at a time and mixed 1-2 minutes separately. So we start with tahini and lemon juice that we put in the chopper and mix for 1 minute. A very fine cream should come out. Then push with a silicone paddle that went up the edges and mix for another 30 sec.
Add olive oil, garlic, cumin and salt. Mix for a minute.
The drained chickpeas enter halfway through. Mix separately between the two quantities added one at a time.
At the end, we pour a little of the liquid from the canned chickpeas to obtain a creamy and fine humus.
Put on a plate, decorate and serve. It's good with tortilla chips, vegetable chips, sticky or raw.
