Humus recipe Because health is also very important, I have a chickpea recipe for you. Rich in mineral salts, vitamins and proteins, chickpeas have a special nutritional value, being able to successfully replace meat proteins. Like all legumes, chickpeas are a food rich in plant proteins, B vitamins, minerals (phosphorus, potassium, calcium, selenium, magnesium), trace elements (iron oxide) and fiber. Another advantage of chickpeas is the rich content of insoluble fiber, which helps fight constipation and controls appetite, producing a feeling of satiety very quickly. Low in fat, chickpeas play a very important role in preventing cardiovascular disease. Consumption of chickpeas can reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. Now that I have presented you the wonderful benefits of chickpeas, let me tell you the recipe :):

Silvye, I think you received the order for Arabic food! I saw that you also made hummus and other goodies! You have dear guests at the table. I have 5 stars for you!

Very good and healthy! ***** Like Cami, I just scald the burg. You can also put 1 very finely chopped cucumber. In Jordan it is decorated with lettuce leaves, which are used instead of a spoon, it is taken from the salad with the help of lettuce leaves and this is how it is eaten, it is the Bedouin custom, otherwise it is eaten using a fork.

Classic hummus

2014 was the year of hummus for me. Then I discovered this Lebanese dish, I tasted it in several places (by far, the best is at the Four Seasons restaurant on Dorobanti), I made it at home and it made me hungry a few times. It is extremely quick to prepare, especially if you have a robot or chopper, as I recently got from Tefal. It's like a smaller robot, equipped with blades to grind everything I need and prepare this recipe in minutes. I recommend you take one too. It also has a blender and tel, both manual and easy to use.

Today's recipe is the classic hummus recipe, and if you haven't tasted it before, it's best to start with it. I can't wait to make green or red hummus with different spices and surprising ingredients. It can also be prepared for parties because everyone likes hummus and you will surely be successful!

ingredients

1 can of chickpeas & # 8211 400 gr.
40 ml. lemon juice, almost a whole lemon
40 ml. tahini
1-2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (I put some lightly fried seeds)
2-3 tablespoons of canned chickpea juice
salt
paprika, coriander leaves, chickpeas and olive oil for decoration

Preparation time: Ten minutes

In order to make a humus as fine as possible, the ingredients must be added one at a time and mixed 1-2 minutes separately. So we start with tahini and lemon juice that we put in the chopper and mix for 1 minute. A very fine cream should come out. Then push with a silicone paddle that went up the edges and mix for another 30 sec.

Add olive oil, garlic, cumin and salt. Mix for a minute.

The drained chickpeas enter halfway through. Mix separately between the two quantities added one at a time.

At the end, we pour a little of the liquid from the canned chickpeas to obtain a creamy and fine humus.

Put on a plate, decorate and serve. It's good with tortilla chips, vegetable chips, sticky or raw.

Humus - benefits and number of calories

Tasty and easy to prepare, however, the hummus should be consumed with caution. That's because 100 grams of humus has about 420 calories. Even so, chickpeas, the main ingredient in hummus, have countless health benefits and are an excellent source of vegetable protein.

Chickpeas are a healthy food that helps fight certain cardiovascular or digestive diseases if introduced into the diet frequently, especially in combination with vegetables. In addition, garlic and olive oil, the spices that give hummus a wonderful taste, are also part of the Mediterranean diet, which has become famous precisely for its proven health benefits.

Therefore, humus is a rich source of omega-3 essential fatty acids, which help protect the heart system, and nutrients from chickpeas and tahini sauce. In addition, humus contains: Iron, Vitamin B6, Manganese, Copper, Folic Acid, Amino Acids.

The amino acids made up of the trio tryptophan, phenylalanine and tyrosine, which are also found in hummus, are substances that have a positive effect on sleep and general mood. Beyond that, chickpea fiber helps in the process of digestion and regulating the level of lipids in the blood.
