Seriously, it hurts to witness such beauty first hand

These sundaes will melt your heart before they even get a chance to melt.

People are tough. And having a relationship with them? Well now you’re just adding a whole new level of issues. Why can’t relationships just be like ice cream?

Ice cream is gorgeous, filling and all around satisfactory. You don’t have to pretend with ice cream. You know what you want, when you want it, and boom! it is there. Ice cream doesn’t introduce you to its parents or make you wear an ugly sweater to a stupid holiday party. It simply accepts you for who you are and allows you to enjoy its company whenever you need it.

It may not love you back, but who needs love when you have ICE CREAM? Especially when you have ice cream that looks like this. These sundaes are the embodiment of perfection, and if we were strolling by an ice cream bar, we’d definitely try to pick them up. We mean how could they resist us without these delicious pick up lines.

What Your Favorite Ice Cream Flavor Says About You

There is nothing more satisfying than a bowl of ice cream. Think about it: When you were small all of your accomplishments were rewarded with ice cream. Bring home a great report card? You're heading to the ice cream shoppe. T-ball team win the big game? To the ice cream parlor it is! Ice cream is a celebration of life, and over the years your taste buds have chosen a favorite ice cream which you choose to celebrate life with. But what if your selection meant more than just having a natural sweet tooth?

We have a theory: Your favorite ice cream selection will tell us more about you than you can imagine.

While there are "studies" out on ice cream personalities, we thought about what the elements of the actual flavors mean for you as a person. For instance, strawberry is an extremely sweet flavor but also is a non-threatening color. It isn't overpowering, but a distinctly recognizable taste. We figured that if you gravitate towards that, you must be very similar: extremely sweet, easy going and uniquely you!

Admittedly our method isn't a scientific one, but we'd bet we are on the money with most of these.

Whether you are sharing an ice cream cone on your first date or curling up on the couch with a freshly scooped bowl, think twice about your ice cream choices. After all, you could be sending the wrong message about yourself.

You know the saying "you're never fully dressed without a smile?" I think no sundae is ever fully dressed without whipped cream. Whipped cream is my favorite topping because I use it as my pregame before the ice cream.

As a child, I was always amazed by hard chocolate coating. I didn't understand how it started off as a liquid and turned into a shell of chocolate. It turns out that ice cream cools off the chocolate, which causes it to harden. All I know is that ice cream tastes better covered in chocolate.

Imagine you're on a subway platform squished up against the rest of Manhattan on a sticky summer night waiting for your ride home. Gross. So, so gross. It's enough to make any warm-weather lover beg for the icy months of winter when there's at least 5 layers of bulky clothing between you and the next person on the train. Enter the ice pop. Cool, refreshing and oh-so-customizable. If you come home to a freezer full of frozen goodness, it's *almost* enough to wash away the memory of your gross, sticky commute (I'd have to highly recommend a shower as well). We rounded up our 10 most popular pops, the ones that our readers come back to year after year for sweet relief from the heat.

10. Fruit Pops (pictured above)

A summer snack you don't have to hold back on. These mango-strawberry pops are the perfect healthy anytime treat. Thinking about skipping the layers? Do it for the 'gram.

9. Frozen Creamy Orange Pop

If you love the grocery store version of velvety smooth orange-flavored ice pop, you're going to really love these. You'll get the same classic flavors, but can feel good about taking down a few of these homemade pops, which have a Greek yogurt and orange juice base.

8. Fireworks Pops

Just like the classic ice cream truck pops, but with ingredients you can actually pronounce. The hardest part is waiting while each layer of color freezes—but the iconic look is worth the effort.

7. Creamy Pistachio Pops

They may taste exotic, but you'll only need a few simple ingredients to make Aarti Sequeira's ice pops. Earl Grey tea, cardamom and pistachios, of course, are the flavor base.

America's Top 10 Ice Cream Flavors

1. Vanilla

Vanilla is America's favorite flavor for a reason: it's simple and it goes with everything. Ice cream expert and IDFA Vice President, Cary Frye, explains, " Vanilla has long been the best-selling ice cream flavor not only because it is creamy and delicious, but also because of its ability to enhance so many other desserts and treats. It tastes great topped by whipped cream and fudge sauce in a sundae, with root beer in a float or atop a warm slice of apple pie." (From WISTV)

2. Chocolate

Chocolate is a crowd favorite because, like vanilla, it's versatile. Unlike vanilla, it has a lot of variations: chocolate chunk, fudge swirl, mudslide. Along with that, chocolate ice cream is a favorite of many because it can be rich or light. It can be dressed up in a sundae or eaten by itself.

3. Cookies & Cream

Cookies & cream is a new take on vanilla. It has chunks of cookies so your customers can eat a lot without getting bored with their ice cream. This is also great ice cream for waffle cones. Try making your own with this mix and shaper !

Toppings to try out: Cookies and cream sauce, caramel sauce, peanut butter sauce . Anything to enhance the cookies already in the ice cream.

4. Mint Chocolate Chip

This minty ice cream is a favorite because it's unlike other ice creams. It's refreshing and light with sweet chocolate chunks. The flavors balance each other out so it's not too rich or too tart.

5. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

This is another fun take on vanilla ice cream. It combines America's favorite warm treat - cookies, and America's favorite ice cream - vanilla. It's the perfect mixture of two desserts that your customers already love. Try serving it in these fun cow cups !

6. Buttered Pecan

Buttered pecan is an old southern favorite for good reason! It's the perfect decadent treat. The smooth ice cream is the perfect contrast to the crunchy pecan pieces. This is a crowd favorite because it has a little saltiness to cut through the sweetness.

7. Birthday Cake

This is a favorite of many, not just on their birthdays. It includes rich buttercream frosting, sprinkles, and cake pieces. The colorful sprinkles and frosting make it an instant hit! Try eating it with these fun color-changing spoons !

Crowd-Pleasing Portable Ice Cream Sundaes

Portable sundaes in jars are the perfect hand-held treat. Mix-and-match your favorite ice cream and toppings ahead of time, then store the lidded jars in the freezer till it's time to party. Homemade caramel and chocolate sauces make these extra-indulgent, and they’re a quick fix with our simple recipes. Add colorful squares of fabric to the jars' lids to match the season and occasion.

MOST ORIGINAL: Museum of Ice Cream Vanillionaire

“Tastes fancy, but not sure its in a good way.”

If the San Fransisco-based Museum of Ice Cream is on your bucket list, you might be closer than you think. The brand serves up more than just Instagram-famous photos — it now has a complete ice cream line on the shelves of Target. Tasters were a little confused by their vanilla carton, which includes chunks of soft graham cracker-esque cookies throughout. Some were into it, some wondered why you would ruin a good thing. Overall, the editors decided the flavor was too sweet and had an odd aftertaste. But points for creativity!

10. Speak his language.

For a simple yet memorable date, choose something that speaks his language—his love language that is. Come up with an activity that fosters his number one way of receiving love.

For example, my husband’s love language is physical touch while mine is “words of affirmation.” You can imagine my tendency to choose dates that involve lots of discussion. However, to date my husband in a way that is meaningful to him, I should occasionally choose things like dancing in the living room, cuddling by the fire, or giving a massage.

These kinds of dates might be out of my comfort zone, but they will foster his love language and draw us closer. Speak his love-language by creating a simple date that he will remember for a long time to come.

Dating our husbands isn’t “rocket science.” Hopefully, one or more of these simple ideas will spark your imagination for a fun and memorable date with your hubby.
